Can I use my own shocks or another pair of shocks?

The short answer is Yes! Yes you can, but unless you are very familiar with custom modifying suspension kits/components i would advise against it. There is a wealth of knowledge that has been poured into the BabyMax custom bypass shock. Our shocks are specifically built to pair with this exact custom spring under leaf pack. Our shock is tuned to perform rock crawling as well as high speed desert running. there is an option to purchase the kit without shocks, but I cannot guarantee your shock will fit in the allotted space, nor can guarantee how it will perform in comparison to the full BabyMax package.

How much travel does the rear long-travel package get?

Short answer is, 12.5+" of straight up and down wheel travel when configured with the full BabyMax kit and installed correctly. I have measured up to 14" on the babymaxog truck. The leaf springs will allow for more wheel travel, but would require a custom solution above and beyond what the BabyMax kit is. 

Are there Install Instructions?

Yes. I will email out a pdf that includes installation instructions. These instructions will only be sent to those who have purchased a kit. The installation requires welding. within the instructions, there will be precise dimensions and angles at which the components should be installed. If, your installer has welded in lower and upper shock mounts to a truck before, then they will be capable of doing this. The installer does not need to work through their own design or research, just follow the instructions given. This is where the value and savings of this kit comes from vs. having a custom solution.
